About the Organization

Our Heritage & Dedicated Purpose

Leadership and community dedication at The Arc Wisconsin Disability Association Inc

Founding History & Roots

The Arc Wisconsin is the statewide voice for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For over six decades, we have championed civil rights legislation, supported inclusive education, and defended community long-term care systems.

In partnership with local Arc chapters across Wisconsin, we work directly with state legislators in Madison, state agencies, and community leaders to eliminate barriers to competitive employment and accessible housing.

Governance & Fiduciary Standards

The Arc Wisconsin Disability Association Inc operates under the governance of an independent, uncompensated Board of Directors dedicated to community welfare. Our leadership exercises active oversight over program budgets, ethical compliance, and executive administration.

As an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN: 39-0993236), our annual financial statements and IRS Form 990 filings are maintained in open public record and available through our office or via GuideStar/Candid.
